Maybe legally he's not on the hook for paying tax on his share, but
fairness would seem to say that he should pay you back for his share of
the tax as well...  Or I might have been inclined to cut his check for
50% less what the tax on it would be....  You might do it that way for
the insurance that comes through in August....
