The 7 last words of a church, hobby club, etc. are "We never did it that way before". NB> DS> I may soon take over an FTN message network...but the "retiring NB> DS> Network Coordinator" has to get with me on the setup, and switching NB> DS> things over. NB>More to keep you busy, I see... ;) Well, I found out that the DixieNet message network is history, so I have to zap that from the BBS. NB> DS> I would hope they have stop signs. :P As I recall, you never saw a NB> DS> traffic light in "Green Acres" or "Petticoat Junction", with the town NB> DS> of Hooterville. NB>True... and these places do have stop signs where necessary... and speed NB>limits where appropriate... ;) And, Mister Haney was the judge, jury, and ticket writer. NB>I suppose that's rarely much of an issue, though... Most vistors would NB>probably be kin... ;) Or returnees.... ;) You would hope so. NB>Ok, then... it could be helpful to those who CAN check the website... NB>hopefully there are alternative ways to get the information for those NB>that can't or who don't even have a computer or smartphone... And, they don't want either one. The thing is, you can't live in the past forever...the way technology is going. While I do believe in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", with all the modern conveniences today, we wonder how we ever did without them. NB>Too bad there's no way to program that into the GPS... ;) To me, GPS means Grand Posterior Seated. NB> DS> For a few hours, you forget about all the crap in the world and in NB> DS> your life. NB>Which is indeed a good thing.... :) And some of the folks, singles and couples, have a wicked sense of humor. The funny part is that when we run into each other in the stores, outside of the dance hall, and they're not in square dance attire, and we say "I didn't recognize you without your clothes on"...while people in the next aisle are wondering "WTH??!!" . NB> DS> I understand that radishes are good for belching. :P NB>Is that from personal experience....? ;) Actually, that was from a Tex Avery cartoon...an invention to remove the belches from radishes before you eat them. I don't think that it could remove the flatulence from legumes, beans, cabbage, etc. -- it'd crush the item...never mind the stench.
