NB>>> The only resolve I have (renewed regularly) is to do the best I can NB>>> with what I have to do... ;) I see I still am running about a week NB>>> behind... but I'm not going to stress over it... :) BM>> Sounds like a good resolution to me! Things will 'get in the way' of BM>> our plans. And LISB4, "running behind" on e-mail isn't a big deal. BM>> Well, for work and family might be a good idea to keep current! NB>> Yup... fortunately don't have much email for work or family... the NB>> occasional counseling email that needs attending to fairly quickly, NB>> but generally things can ride.... :) And, I still am running about NB>> a week behind on echo mail.... probably will be for a while, yet... NB>> Hoping not to slip too much from that, though.... ;) BM> Note to everyone: answer Nancy with short replies so she can get BM> caught up! NB> You are generally the worst offender... Also I try not to do NB> too many messages in one days packet anyway.... ;) Well the good news is there are things I could be worse (or is that better?) at! BM> I generally do the BBS e-mail first thing in the morning as is the BM> most typing, plus the other (done via Thunderbird) generally is not of BM> urgency; if I am expecting something will check, reply, and then let BM> the rest wait until later in the day. And of course the whole thing BM> depends on one's schedule and preferences. NB> And for me, it also can depend on how alert the brain is being at NB> the moment... sometimes mornings are better, sometimes not.... ;) Just what we need: more lerts! Yes, sometimes the brain just isn't into something, though I wil ladmit to what sometimes seems like procrastination, dragging one's heels, and the like is sometimes because something isn't right in the overall scheme of things. Universe say 'ugh-ugh'. And sometimes it is just wanting to sit on one's rump and not do anything. NB>>>> Quite probably... :) My sister has issues with phone signal in her NB>>>> house still... has to go outside to use the cell phone... :) BM>>> If she has a dog wonder if he gets confused? Your sister: "I'm going BM>>>> to go outside to make a call." Dog, perking up at 'outside': BM>>> wag-wag-wag-wag!! NB>>> No dog... just as well... ;) BM>> When the weather outside is nasty especially so! NB>> Indeed....!! BM> Years ago when I did did have a dog (adult, adopted from the humane BM> society) I did use some hyphenated commands like "outside-bathroom". BM> It had dawned on me relatively early after adoption she could get BM> confused from whomever had her previously and the way we talk. "I'm BM> going outside" doesn't mean I'm going to the bathroom. NB> Fortunately most dogs and cats are intelligent enough to be able NB> to learn how to deal with new situations like that.... :) We didn't have any issues. She had some fear/concern/confusion initially -- we had been told she had been abused by her previous owner but other than than pretty much no history. And yes, I'm quite sure she didn't understand why she was in a shelter and then going for a ride with New People -- and staying at New House?? Yes, I'd be confused too! ....Poor thing had to stay in the basement the first few nights: we weren't sure if she was properly housebroken or would 'react badly'. I did go down and check on her -- "warned" her I was coming so she wouldn't be frightened. NB> ttyl neb NB> ... I guess I have disposable income. I sure dispose of it fast.
