BM>>>> As for the too-warm or too-cool up here, probably a combination of BM>>>> construction details adding together: no dead space between the BM>>>> ceiling and roof, longer duct run (hidden because up instead of out), BM>>>> etc., etc. NB>>>> Yup... all sound reasonable... :) BM>>> Probably lots of little factors adding up. Or maybe 'subtracting' BM>>> would be a better term. :) NB>>> Depending on how one looks at it.... ;) BM>> Yup! Not bad, could be a lot worse, just desiring to be BM>> a little better. NB>> The striving for accuracy.... ;) BM> The striving not to kill the electric bill with heaters in the winter BM> and window air conditioners in the summer! NB> That, too... ;) We're on the Budget Billing for electricity and gas (common bill): go a bit in debt in the summer and winter, pay back in the spring and fall. Try to not go excessively into debt so wear warmer clothes in winter and throw on a sweater as necesary. Haven't needed to use the space heater up here this year; the little one near my feet seems to do the trick. :) BM> Actually wasn't too bad up here last night: my feet were getting cold BM> which tends to cool down the rest of me so did turn on the under-the- BM> desk heater. NB> That makes sense... :) And it combined with the sweater generally works! Have the heater plugged into a timer, primarily so I don't forget to shut it off. Some heaters do come with built-in timers, here would be a nuisance to crawl under the desk. NB> ... Skiing combines outdoor fun with knocking down trees with NB> your face. Ouch! That and pulling pine needles out of my beard! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
