  First, thank you for the welcome. Second, the rodents are apparently
still trapped inside, but I've been playing a local country-western
station around the clock in the bedroom. I can still sleep, but it keeps
me from being awakened by the rodents. I need to get the strength to do
some vacumming.

  The reason I'm answering BBS mail at this hour, is due to the
fireworks, firecrackers, and possible gunfire, outside, to celebrate the
New Year. These folks obviously don't care about folks suffering from
PTSD, or with sensitive pets. I'd rather deal with constant thunder and
lightning.

  I never got to that point...although with visiting this couple and
their dachshund (their kid <G>), I've become "a dachshund's uncle". <G>

  I eat one meal a day, usually at lunch, and I'm fine for 24 hours.

  Never heard of it. It's not for beauty's sake...I gave that up long
ago. <G>

  Around here, Walgreen's and the Chinese Restaurants were the main
things open on Christmas. I don't know if any other restaurants were,
but the fast food places were closed.

  I can understand why. They had the decorations up in the stores here
in July.

  LOL!! Only on the computer!! It's like the classic cartoon from "The
Far Side", where this one deer has a bullseye target on his chest, and
another deer laments "Bummer of a birthmark, Hal". <G>
