Yes, and I was a hare surprised one didn't make the comment on that
detail.

Though some leaves hang one tenaciously!  Have had some rather nasty 
storms and expect to wake up with nothing but tree branches and still
there are dead leaves on the trees.

We have a 'collection', a few of which are getting into the antique 
category.  Quite a few are wind-up so no automatic resetting.  As for 
the standardizing to DST, guess that would be fine; to me the need to 
adjust time for better use of the sunlight to light the workplace is 
well beyond the need, especially as most people work in windowsless 
places anyway.

As for the politics, sort of reminds me of a dog who is concentrating 
solely on a bone, blind to the rest of the goings-on around.
