I'm thinking generally the obvious of a transaction did or didn't BM>occur and normally could log back in and check transaction history, if a BM>money transfer was made, etc. ...eBay -- know they have auctions but BM>don't think they have live bidding. Suppose someone could try to swoop BM>in at the last minute. ..Ah! RPG - Roll Playing Games! *Poof!* Where BM>did Queen Nancitina go?! I don't use eBay, and have basically gotten out of the doors on the BBS...saving my time for just QWK Mail. I still have some message area glitches to work out. I had to rebuild everything, as the databases got corrupted. BM>My guess also. Ages ago when cable was getting in to the -- what is it BM>called? Cable version of DSL -- market there as the 'warning' of the BM>connection would slow down the more people on the block/in the area were BM>on-line. ...And I just checked: back up to 8Mbps. ...Can tell I'm BM>really concerned about the speed as the last time I checked was when I BM>talked about it in an e-mail with you. (FWIW last time I checked the BM>max. rate level available here was 10 Mbps.) I've been with Xfinity (Comcast) for several years, and they beat the socks off of AT&T's DSL. Every time there was a power outage or lightning, the DSL modems got fried. Then, after they hung up on me in a call (this was before my Mom got so sick), I swore then (and at them) that as soon as I could, I would DISCONNECT ALL of the AT&T devices, and terminate the plans.
