Subj : disability was: Posts To : Nancy Backus From : Barry Martin Date : Wed Sep 18 2019 08:00:00 Hi Nancy! DS>> A lot of my disabilities are hidden. What really gripes me is DS>> the vehicles that have NO EVIDENCE of a hangtag or license plate, DS>> indicating disability, parking in the space. BM> That's a difference! The bad part is perhaps a disabled person is BM> borrowing a vehicle and so has a valid permit, just is in/on their own BM> vehicle. ...I never really thought of it but if a person has a car or BM> van with disabled plates and takes that vehicle in for repair and BM> borrows a vehicle, then what? The handicap permit is on the other BM> vehicle, and while could be removed the plate is legal only to the BM> original vehicle, not the one being borrowed. NB> At least here in NYS, I think that if one has the disabled NB> plates, one can also get the hangtag for just such instances as NB> that... I'll have to check with a friend of mine that does have NB> the plates on her vehicle... all I have is the hangtag itself.... I had the temporary hangtag. In Iowa can have multiple identifiers: Multiple Permits - Persons with disabilities plates may be issued to all vehicles titled in the person with disabilities' name. - Two removable windshield placards may be issued for each person with a disability. - Persons with disabilities parking stickers may be issued to all vehicles titled in the person with disabilities name. Appears one still needs to plan ahead: if has the license plate one needs to plan ahead to have a temporary hangtag for when the car is in repair. NB> ... Technically horrible stuff, but somehow very tasty. You must be talking about that fast food place serving stir fry in the other message! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® .... I ate your Web page.
