Subj : Songs was: Stormy To : Nancy Backus From : Barry Martin Date : Sun Sep 15 2019 10:56:00 Hi Nancy! BM> A continuation of the hair growth at the end of the previous post. BM> Checked on-line and hair grows faster in summer due to sunlight and BM> heat, the latter contrary to the insulating properties of hair (would BM> want to be cooler). Winter the opposite conditions, so hair growth BM> slows down. NB> Interesting... :) BM> Her 'twice a year' comment appears to half-incorrect, though possibly BM> an incorrent interpretion of events: in Summer the hair grows faster BM> and in Winter have social events want to look good for. NB> So maybe she was actually trying to say that she has two NB> particularly busy seasons for cutting hair... Possibly, and with a slight mis-fact on the accelerated hair growth cycle. Or maybe she is correct on the two cycles and the article understated (or I overlooked) the second, possibly not as pronounced cycle. Still boils down to looking long time for trimming! BM>> Just checked: both cameras are running but nobody home -- eagles must BM>> still be on their summer vacation before school starts! ...Thought BM>> the picture had frozen as no movement, then a bug zoomed by. It is BM>> rather still out (no breeze, no leaves moving). NB>> That was a useful insect... :) A breeze would have reassured NB>> similarly, but as you say, there wasn't one.... :) BM> Yes - there are numerous times when there just is no breeze or a BM> barely any. ...Looking out there's not much of one currently -- 'live BM> look' out the window! NB> It was rather breezy last night... lighter breezes now... ;) We had multiple thunderstorms last night and earlier this morning. What was sort of 'funny' is they'd be several miles away, rumbling and crashing relatively loudly, and then seem to suddenly stop. Most of the time it's thunder from the West then nearby then East -- can hear travelling through but these all seemed to be close by and then suddenly stop. ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® .... A word to the wise isn't necessary.
