Subj : Drinking And More To : BARRY MARTIN From : Daryl Stout Date : Thu Aug 22 2019 17:07:00 BM>Hi Daryl! Hi, Barry... BM> DS> I would've been, had I still not had any. But, they are BM> DS> hereditary, and once you've had one, you're subject to having BM> DS> more. BM>'Hereditary' or 'genetic'? Agree if had once will more than likely have BM>them again. Not sure which was the better choice of words. But, with my mind spinning faster than an EF-5 tornado the last 2 weeks, in the aftermath of my urinary bladder stone surgery, plus my Mom's death and funeral, I'm surprised I know which was is up anymore. BM>I'm in the phase currently of coffee in the morning and then iced water BM>the rest of the day. Pretty much my base routine. Winter I'll add hot BM>tea - last winter was usually green tea but have had regular and BM>flavoured teas. Past years have added some flavourings to my water: BM>plop in a tea bag (green or flavoured), dash of lemon juice. I haven't BM>looked for flavoured waters. I never acquired a taste for coffee. I used to drink ice tea and Gatorade by the bucketful. When I see the urologist in a surgery followup next week, I'm going to try to find out what I can eat and drink that won't give me problems. I really don't want to take Lasix every day...because that means I have to pee every 5 minutes. BM>As the officer eyes suspiciously your 'water on the rocks'! (Water with BM>ice.) Probably no potential issues with water intoxication, just BM>something to be aware of with high intakes. Or, you're using actual rocks, which means you're stoned. BM>Some people do have caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Or the jolt of BM>caffeine included with some aspirins makes them feel better faster by BM>re-introducing the caffeine. I never thought too much of caffeine, but chocolate and tea has a lot of it. As noted, I never acquired a taste for coffee. BM> BM> How do I know if I drank too much water? BM> DS> I have to go to the orifice regularly. BM>Worse would be drinking water while urinating!! Talk about "easy come, easy go". BM>My Hy-Vee (regional grocery store) offers chunks/hunks of watermelon -- BM>half, quarters, smaller. Also offers larger plastic cups (pints, BM>quarts) of bite-sized mixed summer fruits. I need to look for that the next time I'm grocery shopping. We had a 1 hour power outage here earlier today (I wasn't here at the time...I was at a local restaurant for the "mourners meal" after my Mom's funeral, and was notified via my cellphone of the outage. At least the outage wasn't more than that...so, with the icebox doors staying closed, the food shouldn't have been affected. BM>My Mother will freeze banana slices, grapes (removed from the stem) and BM>nibble on the frozen fruits. Suppose could do the same for watermelon, BM>strawberries, and other fruits, just cut into bite-size pieces. (For me BM>the frozen fruit is OK but I prefer mine chilled or room temperature.) I think I'd like the chilled variety better as well. Daryl === þ OLX 1.53 þ 665 and 667 - Satan's neighbors. --- SBBSecho 3.08-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - tbolt.synchro.net (454:1/33) .
