Subj : Vacation Time! To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Thu Aug 15 2019 07:38:00 Hi Daryl! BM>Did, with a few minor inconveniences which I turned into adventures. BM>(See my To All post at the beginning of the packet.) DS> Will do that when I read the regular messages. With DS> thunderstorms nearby, I'm just doing the personal messages (many DS> for condolences on the death of my Mom, and my surgery over the DS> weekend), then I'm shutting down. I can resume the QWK Packet DS> later. Yes, you seem to be a bit of a lightening rod! I'd probably do the same with those experiences; as it is now just go to the point of having installed a whole house surge suppressor, supressors and UPSs on some of the individual electronics, antenna grounds, telephone grounds. BM> DS> þ OLX 1.53 þ The Weather Is Here...Wish You Were Beautiful. BM> I wish I could have gotten a copy of the picture of my Mother BM>taken at Boston Customs: she was and wasn't paying attention to the BM>camera and instruction and it managed to capture her with mouth open BM>and starting to look off to the side. I think she was asking me a BM>question. Just one of those really bad photos that is so bad it's good! DS> I saw one where this guy got an unflattering picture of his DS> wife eating a mozarella cheese stick dog. Instead of the corn dog DS> with the hot dog inside, it was mozarella cheese. Surprise! ...We sort of have a game with the MythTV system here (records and plays back television shows). During a commercial one of us might go to the bathroom or get more water and the other will fast forward to the beginning of the show. The system jumps frames, so a split-second pause. During these pauses there are sometimes strange 'snapshots' as a person blinks, gets the mouth into position to say a word, etc. So the other person comes back, walks in toward the couch and their back is to the TV displaying a semi-grotesque freeze-frame. Turn around to sit -- gaa!! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
