Might have a few quirks here that confused the installer. BM>>> It's over, look to the future (I'll let them figure out what BM>>> went wrong and fix it!). NB>>> As long as it's working now, might as well let it be... :) BM>> Yes; will keep the notes so possibly refer to for later BM>> (new/different) installations. Hopefully no problems; LISB4, this was BM>> the first one that really gave me problems. NB>> Might just have been something quirky this time... or in the mind of NB>> the programmer that wrote the update... or unfound bugs lurking... ;) BM> Or... I'm sort of leaning towards the unfound bugs, not in the BM> usual bug sense but more auto-configuration utilty/-ies was/were BM> presented with new variables -- 8-core AMD _and_ such-and-such video BM> card _and_ . ...I don't know, just hope it's figured BM> out for the next time - which is why I allow error reports to go back: BM> they can't fix if they don't know it needs fixing! NB> Exactly.... ;) And they'd be in a position to figure out if it NB> was a true error or just a seemingly so one... ;) That's more or less my thoughts. Know with the old computer (the one previous to the one I'm on now) just about every time I booted it gave an error message. Appeared to be a minor one, essentially "Ubuntu had an internal error". Every so often looked at the logs but no idea; nothing ever seemed to act improperly. Also found out from some troubleshooting on a different system some reported errors aren't really errors: along the lines of when booting the system checks and states my Bluetooth isn't working. Yeah: 'cause I don't have a bluetooth device installed! Of course it's not working! There was an explanation of why these occurred and safe to ignore. ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
