Subj : moving or not was: CFBBS To : Nancy Backus From : Barry Martin Date : Tue Aug 13 2019 10:24:00 Hi Nancy! BM>>> Probably had an attitude similiar to mine: the other people were good BM>>> to have around but were not a necessity. NB>>> Yup, similar... I'd just be reasonably friendly with any/all of NB>>> them, so much as it depended on me... :) BM>> Right: 'people is people'. Don't have to associate with the snooty BM>> group nor the 'anal orifices' but doesn't do any good to ignore, mock, BM>> etc., them. NB>> If they'd accept me on my terms, fine... I wasn't going to jump NB>> through hoops for any of them... But I'd also not go out of my NB>> way to annoy, either.... ;) BM> Good attitude! I'll flex but not bend: hard of hearing? I'll speak BM> clearly and directly. Vegetarian? I'll try to warn you if something BM> has meat in it. NB> I might prepare a vegetarian option or leave out meat from (part NB> of) an entree, if it wasn't too much of a deal, especially if NB> multiple dishes are being made... :) And on re-reading my old reply I didn't phrase it fully. I've had vegetarian friends but ended up none ate at my place. Not that I refused to accomodate, just was easier for both of us for them to cook to their preference and I always asked what to bring. I didn't miss the meat at all. NB>>> ... You can't have your Kate, and Edith, too. BM>> Even if a Mormon? NB>> Well.... maybe then... but the mainliners there have moved away NB>> from that, pretty much, as I understand it.... it being illegal NB>> in this country.... :) BM> True; maybe saw the tagline. BM> ... Do you know the punishment for bigamy? Two mothers-in-law. NB> That might deter some.... ;) Some mothers-in-laws are pretty cool. Others just plain icy! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
