Subj : Songs was: Stormy To : Nancy Backus From : Barry Martin Date : Mon Aug 12 2019 17:23:00 Hi Nancy! -=> Quoting Barry Martin to Nancy Backus on 28-Jun-2019 08:38 <=- NB>> Finally getting back to answering messages... ;) BM> Figure you either got busy or unable to connect. NB> Got busy, catching up on other things, from being gone for a NB> week... And now, I'm back at the Pond again... it's 11:15pm on NB> the 3rd as I type this... :) And now my turn to catch up! Almost lunch time as I start this on Monday August 12. Have been away form home for a month visiting my Mother in New Hampshire and then off to visit my Aunt and family/friends and Austria and Slovakia. (Some details in a message to ALL at the beginning of this packet.) BM>>> Probably PS/2. OTTOMH I don't know of another option. Probably could BM>>> be, but not consumer-common. NB>>> Probably PS/2 (whatever that really is [g]).... I just don't really NB>>> pay that much attention to that sort of thing... :) BM>> Umm, "plug and socket style #2"?? As for not paying attention, BM>> you have no real need to. If your keyboard or mouse needs to be BM>> replaced it's probably a "oh Wiiii-zaardd!" and Richard either pulls a BM>> replacement from the closet or put it on his list to purchase. NB>> Won't have to replace the non-existant mouse.... but otherwise, NB>> yup, exactly.... ;) BM> Just one less thing to fail! NB> Well, yes, that too... ;) I brought a (USB) mouse with me again this year. I have a tendancy to touch the touchpad while I'm typing and some interesting things happen! Turned off the touchpad and took care of those issues! ...Did remember to turn the touchpad back on before flying -- could just see the Airport Security folks for whatever reason needing me to boot and run the computer and I'd be unable because of needing the mouse which I packed in the luggage! (Never had such an issue, but one never knows!) BM> BTW, went on-line to the Arconic EagleCam site -- going to be about BM> another week before back on-line. Post stated either a floating log BM> or a falling branch broke the cover to the equipment box off -- the BM> cover is completely gone. The eaglets are about ready to start flying. NB> Doesn't sound like they'll have it fixed before the eaglets NB> fly... pretty close, anyway... ;) The webcams have been reconnected (yea!) -- found that when I was in Vienna and was chatting with the hotel reception staff one evening about various things. Somehow we got on to the flooding in downtown Davenport (IA) so I showed them some pictures -- made them sad and I felt I needed something to perk them up so showed the (static) pictures of the mother eagle feeding the two eaglets. Also 'discovered' the distance between the two sites is about the same: the downtown flooding is abour 5 miles / 8 kilometers downriver from my house and the eagle's nest is about 5 mi / 8 km upriver from the house! BM> Most of the prior year eagles are still in the general region: one is BM> up near the Canadian border. NB> Do you actually get to see the eagles flying about...? Or is it NB> just looking at the locator chart.... :) I have seen eagles flying from the house. No idea which ones as too high. BM> ... Bad TV: "Tasteful American Architecture -- A Termite's Point of BM> View" NB> Wouldn't that be tasty rather than tasteful...? I'll have to chew on that one! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® .... 1971: Hoping for a BMW 2001: Hoping for a BM --- MultiMail/Win32 v0.47 þ wcECHO 4.2 ÷ ILink: The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 01-0462 * Origin: ILink: CFBBS | cfbbs.no-ip.com | 856-933-7096 (454:1/1) .
