DS> I had BSOD's at times with XP, but I really liked it. Haven't DS> yet had a BSOD with Windows 7...although I probably shouldn't say DS> that too loud. With regular (not virtual) XP I did have the occasional BSOD; copying down then Googling the error code did help be resolve the issue -- well, that one, then later got a new one. &) I don't recall having any BSOD events with Virtual XP. BM>Which just added to the reasons for me to switch to Linux. I have BM>reasonably current/fast/etc. computers which work fine with XP, and BM>while I can appreciate the latest-and-greatest I really don't feel the BM>need to upgrade. Just like I can appreciate and admire a brand new car BM>I really don't have the need nore desire for one. (And yes, when I do BM>get a new motherboard and CPU, etc., it will be reasonably current - and BM>last for a decade or so.) DS> I'm not much for learning new things...too much else on my mind DS> right now. Probably so. Same reasoning when I was working I'd avoid (as best can) any major projects during the Holidaze Season: long hours, strange hours, social events, etc. Actually the GUI of Linux (here I use the Ubuntu version) is similar to Windows - sometimes the biggest difference is the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons are at the upper left instead of upper right. Reminds me of when I had to have a cardiac DS> catheterization done, and of course, you have to lay on your DS> back. Trying to pee into a urinal laying down is a joke. When the DS> nurse asked me "did we spring a leak?", I growled "No, I just DS> felt like peeing in the bed". :P And now we know something else about Daryl in the TMI category!! ¯ ® ¯ Barry_Martin_3@ ® ¯ @Q.COM ® ¯ ® ....
