In March we were in Memphis for a Tigers game and we went by
Guitar Center looking for a new acoustic bass for my wife.
She didn't find one she liked, but loved a solid body electric
Gretsch model. Lighter - shorter scale - easier on her (aging)
body. :-)

Bought an amp too - so she can use the amp as a stage monitor. 
It's also 50 watt, but still VERY very light. Bonus.

The amp, when opened, had a 'tear' in the vinyl top, so we
called them and they said next time we're in Memphis to
bring it back and swap it.

Fast forward about 4 or 5 weeks. Bartlett was having a
ham radio freefest, and I wanted to go, so we took the
amp back to swap. We decided to walk around and look
while we were there. I was playing around on some of 
the acoustics in the 'acoustics room' when she said,
"this is what you need." 

She brought over a beautiful (to me) Ibanez 12 string
acoustic electric. Smaller than a drednaught; thinner
too. 

Now I have played some 12 strings over the years, but
never played one that I would have wanted to play
AS MY OWN... Until this one. :-) 

So, $450 later, I had the guitar and a nice hard shell
case to go with it. :-) Swapped out my Takamine at
church for that one and honestly have played nothing
else since then... LOVE IT! :-)
