Subj : Todays Blooper To : Daryl Stout From : Barry Martin Date : Wed Mar 09 2022 08:00:00 Hi Daryl! Afterthought.... DS> Right now though, because of finances, I'm on a self imposed DS> bland diet of wheat bread and butter (4 slices twice a day), DS> washed down with lemonade Koolaid, to take my medications with. DS> That's NOT very nutritious, but with the skyrocketing price of DS> groceries and gasoline, and "a mere pittance" of "disability DS> income" each month, I'm having to cut back. Was thinking a soup might be better in the long run. Think of long-term rather than just one meal: "pea porridge hot, pea porridge cold, pea porridge in the pot nine days old". Well, maybe not that bad!! I'm thinking more 'rock soup': start with water (broth would be better but will be created), some chopped vegetables -- maybe a bag of frozen mixed veggies on sale. For next time around add a diced potato and some more water/broth. Next time a can of beans and replenish the water/broth. Etc., etc. Whatever is on sale can be added to the soup, plus could keep out a serving and have a bowl of veggies or beans or whatever instead of the soup, so adding variety back to your meals. --- þ ILink: The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 01-0462 * Origin: ILink: CFBBS | cfbbs.no-ip.com | 856-933-7096 (454:1/1) .
