If they still send it back to DS> me, I'll send it back to them, with a note, saying "Don't DS> even bother sending any more money... since you can't follow DS> the directions on the form, your transaction will NOT be DS> processed". Are these payments from square dance members? If so, why not make the announcements during a dance event? Maybe even design a call that gives instructions: Grab yer partner, doe see doe I'll tell ya where the cheques should go.. DS> I'm not holding my breath. I told the President and the DS> Treasurer of the organization that "For several weeks (if DS> not months), this stuff has been in the publication, on the DS> websites, on the meeting handouts, and I've even discussed DS> it at the meetings. But, apparently no one was reading the DS> info (a waste of time, paper, ink, and money), and not DS> paying attention to me (a waste of my time and my breath)". The members are dancers, not readers! LOL. DS> 2) Health issues. I never know when I'll have a kidney DS> stone, migraine, or gastroenteritis attack (nausea, DS> vomiting, diarrhea). Definitely not a good time to plan a trip of any kind by any mode of travel right now. DS> 3) Should I get a generator or not?? The commercials you see DS> are very deceptive... that's just the price of the DS> generator, and NOT including the labor and installation DS> costs, which can be rather substantial. Lean not on thine own understanding. ;) It is interesting that Trump has now contracted the virus. DS> I've got insomia from all the stress, so I likely will have DS> to nap later today. That's why I'm answering BBS mail at DS> this hour. Yep.. 3:10a is pretty early! Hopefully your stress/insomnia is temporary. DS> I'd rather pay via PayPal or the debit card. My bank has a DS> Fraud Prevention program, that if a transaction looks DS> suspicious, I will get a call or a text message, asking me DS> to verify the transaction. I was the victim of identity DS> theft several years ago, and have several deals in place to DS> protect me from it happening again. I thought debit card was a poorer choice for making payments vs credit card. Debit is treated like cash. Once it is gone out of your account, it's gone. Whereas with credit card the amount is in process for atleast the pay period and can be reversed or challenged more easily. DS> I was sick much of Tuesday with a migraine sinus headache, DS> that I could not hold my eyes open. I didn't even get out of DS> bed until 3pm, and only ate a couple of cheese danish all DS> day. I'm about to use the last 2 of those, and all I have DS> left in the house is flavored water. It looks like it's back DS> to bread and lunch meat sandwiches for another month... if I DS> can even afford that. Instead of bread + lunch meats (empty carbs, sugar + nitrates), try a yam/sweetpotato (they bake beautifully in a microwave) + butter. There is *so* much flavor there, and you'll be eating better. I look for yams that are shorter (6 in max) and have more rounded ends. I cut them in sliced quarters at about 1 to 1.5 inches thick, and peel them with a knife and fork after they are cooked. I'll eat half a yam per meal. The other cooked half can store in the fridge for a few days. Fresh yams store well, and are pretty cheap imho. DS> That's not the healthiest diet, but right now, I have no DS> choice. Try introducing some healthier choices gradually, and stick to them. A sweet potato is not terribly expensive as part of a dinner for a couple meals per week. DS> if I can ever get funds to put the BBS in the cloud, I'll DS> get rid of the high speed internet here, as I can logon via DS> a Verizon Mi-Fi. That'd save at least $100 a month, that I DS> could use for groceries. Hopefully for healthier groceries. ;) BM>> I tend to not like sweet cereals and so stick with shredded BM>> wheat (plain), topped with a generic Grape Nuts and BM>> raisins - lots of raisins! I used to eat processed cereals for breakfast too. It wasn't just one serving either. A true serving is what you can hold in the palm of your hand. I would have a decent bowlful + a fruit or two + honey, and feel totally hungry 3 hours later, and look for something to eat again. I thought that was normal! Not good. Today, an egg + 1/2 avocado + 1/2 banana takes me through the morning for 5 hours before I even *think* of anything else to eat. DS> I haven't had cereal in ages, and am not a breakfast person. DS> I love chocolate iced donuts (with a Diet Doctor Pepper), DS> though. The only time I eat breakfast is if I have an DS> early morning medical appointment, and had to fast DS> beforehand... or if I'm doing a morning ham radio license DS> exam session. Cereals are empty carbs. And noone has just the labeled quantity of "1 serving" of that stuff + milk + other add ons. An egg + avocado + a couple spoons of peanut butter are a better low carbs + protein choice than a bowl of cereal. I have about two servings of unsalted almonds and cashews in the early afternoon - they are fine sources of natural fat energy for the body. Do some research and find the better natural foods that you can have instead of the processed/packaged stuff. .
