It is, I started listening to Doo-Wop when I was a kid, WCBS 101 in -> NY was the oldies station. I listened to it for years. I guess that is where my -> love for ALL music came from. It would have been very boring working for a small homeowners association with virtually no calls from midnight until 5 AM, but the show kept me entertained and introduced me to the world of Doo Wop. A DJ named Ken Held flew in to Fort Lauderdale every Sunday with his collection of records, and would often have singers visit the studio to sing live. Singers like Dion, Kenny Vance, Larry Chance, Johnny Maestro and a whole lot more. Ken Held would play the songs but also tell tales about the origins of the groups and the songs.
