Hello all,
I have been using Plex for 10 years now and wouldn't change for anything. I have a simple setup:
Windows box - Intel i7-8700 3.70 Ghz
Highspeed Internet 300MB down & 20MB Up
15TB (and growing) on 7 8TB drives inside 2 USB drive cradles.
OTA antenna with HDhomerun tuner
IPTV in Plex.
About 20 Family users stream to their homes.

I had to change the server a few years back but other than that, works today as it did in 2014. I use Roku TV for the living room, Roku Ultra in the bedroom
, Roku Stick in the spare bedroom. I take the Roku Ultra on the road with me 
and it worked in Greece and in Ireland without buffering. Been all over the USA and Canada as well.

I use Google Chrome Remote Desktop to access the server when away to
keep it up and ruuning. I run Filebot to rename all files to the Plex format.

More people need to setup their own servers and take a bite out of the Cable & streaming services revenue. The cost has tripled+ since 2014 and we need to get the cost back down.
