You don't need a special license or insurance.  I believe you have to have a braking 
system for the towed vehicle (toad), but that is something I wouldn't be without no 
matter where I travel.

Occasionally, we do rural areas as long as the roads are paved.  Generally, the things we 
see in the various towns are done by car.  It gives us a chance to see more of the area 
we park the RV in.

My wife has a perfect memory of our journeys so we don't log them per se.  She plans 
each stop along the way, the amount of time we travel every day, reservations at the 
campgrounds, etc.  All I have to do is drive :)
