That's great!
I'm always amazed at how many people know of, or have visited this strange little town of Peterborough! :)
 
Years ago, my wife and I were in Munich Germany, on part of our honeymoon. We were in the Hofbrauhaus for Oktoberfest (I think they may have been serving beer? lol), which if you've ever seen the place, it's a huge hall full of long tables and people are seated whereever space becomes available.
 
A fellow sits down across from us and we start chatting, turns out he's been to Peterborough and knew a friend of ours!
Small world, even across a stein in Germany. :)
 
If you camped in Pterborough you probably stayed at Beavermead Park.
Right by Lock 20, just down from 21 (the Lift Locks).
I've actually never camped there, usually we do back country, but we do play in the park and beach at Beavermead (preCovid) with the kids.
 
If we ever get down to Florida I'll let you know for sure!
