I noticed there didn't seem to be much discussion about sewing here, so I figured I'd start something.


I don't personally sew, but am about to pick up an old Singer to learn on. Even if I don't get anythign amazing out of it, the therapeutic value alone seems well worth the price of cloth.


My wife and I have spent the last few days reading everything we can about getting started, and hopefully have a good idea of what we're getting into. Still, you can't beat experience, and we're eager to get started.



Do any of y'all sew? I feel like there have to be at least half a dozen lifelong sewers (still not over that word) here.
