I know many people does not consider CB to be any sort of radio hobby and think
CB users are lame wannabes. Still, I thought I could give this network some
traffic.

Which sort of equipment would you recommend somebody who had not a clue and
wanted to get started in Citizen Band transmission? Say, something for home
ussage would have a transmitter and a quality anthena at the very least.

Relatedly, do you think the Atlantic may be crossed on AM using 4W? I have
heard of many people getting international conversations from CB, but reaching
Detroit from Madrid without piratey modifications sounds like a tall order.
