Yes, I suppose I'm old school but I've always felt that, and even if not shown ahead of time, when they bring the pay machine to the table that rather large tip is already listed and it's a pain to change it or eliminate it. You even get that when you order food for pick up. In the old days, before this changed, I was one to leave small tips usually, but a few times a waiter/waitress did exceptional service and I left a much larger one. One time I asked for 2 orders of an appetizer and the waiter told me it was pretty big and I'd really just need one for myself and my date. That saved me a fair bit, and I think the full amount I saved went into his tip.. At another time, a waitress didn't explain things properly, nor did the menu, and I ended up being charged 'extra' for things that appeared to be included. I 'asked' about it after, and she ended up calling the manager over. He ended up saying, If that's what you understood then don't pay for those things.. I talked it over briefly with my date and I figured that the waitress would probably end up paying for it if we didn't so, in the end, I paid the bill in full but the waitress got a $0 tip.. --- * SLMR Rob * Captain!
