I moved from Detroit, MI in January, 1981 to Fort Lauderdale.  When I lived in Detroit, I had a 1974 Chevy Blazer that I installed a 7 foot blade to.  I had 4 customers that told me that when they arrived at work in the morning, they didn't want to see snow in their lot.

I worked some crazy hours when it snowed at night, but it was worth the income.  Snow to me was "white gold".

I'm so happy though that I don't have to worry about it anymore, and I feel for you.
