Subj : Giving Linux a Try

I have several computers that I can use to try out different operating systems, and decided to give Linux 
Mint a try.

It installed perfectly, so I decided to try and run a specific Windows program.  That program was not 
listed in the Winetricks list of applications.

I did a search on my drive for the specific program's .exe. file, but it would not load.

Does anyone have any information on how to load a program that is not in the list?
