I have watched episodes of The Flash and seen crossover stuff in the Arrow?
show etc. I agree they try and that's good. I don't think the cinema stuff
thus far in the DC universe has worked well for them.

The MCU and the way they have systematically built and established huge
stories with arcs that span years and several movies it totally ingenious. I
think MCU fans have learned to always watch for the post credit scenes etc.
and that's also a sign of a good storyteller developing new and accepted
norms for the audience to cue to.
