Agreed. If it was just these 3 movies, people would be all over this.
Also the main premise was saving the friend vs the galaxy, so they tried :).

That about sums it up. But, if someone hasn't seen the first two, it shouldn't
detract from watching the third one. There's not much you need to know going
into it, if anything at all, because they mostly remind you who the characters
are. People are often worried about watching sequels without seeing the first
film(s), but I don't think that's an issue in this case.
