100%.

I loved that they made Nurse Chapel into a more significant character,
I'd follow Pike to the ends of the universe if I were in Starfleet, and
I very much enjoyed Hemmer's role as the mentor.

"To fix what which is broken" as a person's guiding principle is pretty
profound for a TV show.

The scene where Uhura is hazed at the bridge officer's dinner by Hemmer
and Spock was pretty good. I was a little off-put by her story of not
really wanting to be in Starfleet, as they mentioned, I'm sure there's a
backlog of people who are as good and want to be there.
