I'm pretty sure the Star Fleet Academy show (which they've been talking about ¨for a few years now) was actually announced as being officially 'greenlit' a ¨week or so back.

The first season had a decent story that was poorly written. The second season ¨had a poor story that was poorly written. The third season has a pretty decent ¨story that's for the most part well written. My problem with season two is ¨that I just didn't care about the story. There was nothing really compelling ¨there.
