Subj : Failure of blu-ray format? To : Nightfox From : Ogg Date : Mon Jan 30 2023 14:34:00 Hello Nightfox! N> I sent multiple articles.. It's not just one person, but it seems a lot N> of people seem to think blu-ray has been a relative failure. You sent three. But the last one, reddit, did not load. Og>> I still think there is plenty market for physical DVDs. Not N> Sure, but I'm talking about blu-ray, not DVD. It seems N> DVDs actually still sell more than blu-ray discs, N> apparently because DVDs are less expensive and people have N> been confused about what blu-rays are etc.. Hence why N> people seem to think blu-ray is a relative failure N> (compared to DVDs). DVD vs BluRay, noted. But I meant the physical thing, either DVD or BR. I see discount bins filled with both, ranging in prices from $4 - $12. Many people RV'ing, or camping, or cottaging, may not have streaming as an option everywhere. But when they feel like a movie, the physical thing is the go to. I think the people who wrote those bluray and dvd is dead articles live in cities and have no idea of the lack of high speed internet in rural areas. --- OpenXP 5.0.57 * Origin: Ogg's WestCoast Point (21:4/106.21) .
