I felt the same way about the series. There's a movie, "Jack Ryan: Shadow
Recruit" that's pretty good. It stars Chris Pine and (I think) Morgan
Freeman as Greer.

At this point there's almost as many actors playing Jack Ryan as Batman.
Odd to think that Alec Baldwin could have locked down the role, but he
had some conflict with one of the people who was involved with the
franchise and didn't want to have to butt heads with that person over
the course of a couple of movies.
