Subj : Thor: Love & Thunder To : All From : Alpha Date : Fri Jul 29 2022 14:59:02 Finally got aorund to seeing the latest Marv3l joint, Thor. Huge fan of the director, he's done some awesome film and TV (from Avon's part of the world!) -- "What We Do In the Shadows" and "Our Flag Means Death" are pretty fresh and laugh-out-loud. Unexpectedly so. But Thor? Yeah, it was... Just OK. Not bad, but not amazing. I *could* be just burned out on the whole superhero thing, but I left a bit underwhelemed, same with wife +kid. Thor gets to do his 'himbo' thing, Christian Bale is pretty terrifying as the god-killin' villian, but it doesn't really hold up next to the last Thor comedy, I mean movie. Kind of feels like maybe iut's just a lull/filler between the next big phase -- some new/old X-Men, Fantastic 4, Teh Marvels, Inhumans, etc. Looking forward to those new distractions! Hoping GotG3 gets my Marvel groove back :) .... I'm easy to please as long as I get my way. --- Renegade v1.30/DOS * Origin: Cool Stuff Lives 4EVER @ RetroShed.us (21:4/158.2) .
