To be honest, I think this is going to start being the normal in any streaming series. Keeping a season down about 6 to 10 epsiodes a season does keep the costs down. In some cases I think it keeps the writting better since you don't have to do the traditianal 13 to 22 episodes per season, you can be a little more selective on your scripts. 

Of course for the viewer, it sucks if they like the show, because who doesn't want just one more episode.
