And the console in front of the captain's chair has the same red/grey colors. They use some of the same chairs too. But I think it's a little odd that the inside of the ship is pretty much totally redesigned compared to the original TOS Enterprise. I feel like there is a lot of Kirk-era Star Trek that has been produced since the first JJ Abrams movie. I feel like we had already seen a lot of Kirk-era Star Trek, and there is other untapped story potential. We haven't seen much of the Enterprise B or C at all, and I wouldn't mind a movie or TV series based on either of those ships.
