Ni> Ni> I see a movie in the theater every so often, but not very often these Ni> days. It is expensive. I remember up to the early 90s, a movie in the Ni> theater during matinee times (before 3:30PM) for movies in my area used Ni> to be $3.25. Now at around $10 for a movie, it's definitely harder to Ni> justify. Back in my day (I hate saying that), matinee movies were 50 cents. And I'm not joking, I brought many a date to the matinee. Ni> Mc> My home theatre system has definitely paid for itself a hundred times Ni> Mc> since then. Ni> Ni> I've never even had a fancy home theater system. My biggest TV (which I Ni> still have) has been a 55" flat panel TV, and I've never had a fancy TV Ni> sound system except for a soundbar for one of my TVs once. Still, with Ni> what I have, I enjoy watching movies at home sometimes. Sound is everything, sir. Well, almost... A good screen is very important, but size definitely isn't the important part of THAT equation. Because (AMOLED vs OLED?) OLED vs LCD, or LCD vs CRT...But, much more important is the quality of the sound output. High Dynamic Range (HDR) was a sound thing LONG before it was a video thing. I suppose I would have a different point of view if I was slowly losing my vision, instead of my hearing...but that's not the case. Too soon, I'll be asking 'Whassat, sonny? I can't quite hear ya.' Hell, I find myself asking that too often NOW! McDoob SysOp, PiBBS .... Error, no Keyboard - Press F1 to Continue. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Raspberry Pi/32) * Origin: PiBBS (21:4/135) .
