Now, the suit against the people doing Axanar makes more sense - didn't want 
anything conflicting with Strange New Worlds, since they happen in 
relatively the same time frame.

Paramount came out with all sorts of rules, I think one of them was that 
TV/movie actors weren't allowed to do indie productions. Don't know if that 
would hold up in a court, but you'd easily find yourself unemployed by 
Paramount productions.

I did like that Paramount claimed copyright over several Star Trek cultural 
items, including the Klingon language. The defense proved that qualified as 
a language because of external use and that it couldn't be copyrighted.
