Yes it seems to be easier to go back in time and write to that era rather than look ahead which is kinda ironic given how look ahead TOS was for it's time. I felt Enterprise was always a bit weak in terms of plots and creative juices in the scripts, and by then Berman and his crew had generated and shepherded a number of ST projects through from conception to fully developed project... but by the time of Enterprise it seemed to me the well was running dry. I have never liked the JJ stuff/alternative time concepts for Trek although I did appreciate being able to watch some Trek :) Yes to you thoughts about TNG and between Enterprise B or C..
