Saw the first episode of this show last night. I enjoyed it. It was back to the formula of old used in the TOS and it felt fresh and not too try hard.

I think they have a lot of ground and cannon they can cover and leverage off for the series and also for other seasons that may follow.

The dynamic between the initial lead actors introduced in episode one was good and bodes well.
