Netflix is very much geo-locked. Depending on which country your IP address
is registered to, you'll get very different experiences. And, for no obvious
reason at all ;) , the US version is where all the new stuff gets released
first...

And, they're pretty strict against using proxies or VPNs to get around their
BS...

Besides, if you want to watch a show, there are still free sources, if you
look hard enough...
