Yeah, there are 10 of these Eternals all together who are sent to Earth.  All 
of them have a backstory and they do touch of some of them and their origins, 
but the movie really revolves around Sersi & Ikaris and their love story.

I guess it really comes down to which character your like more, if they 
didn't spend enough time on "your" character, perhaps you wouldn't like the 
movie as much?

I liked Kumail Nanjiani's character, he added in a nice comical twist while 
Angelina Jolie's character was more serious/dark.  I wouldn't say that 
ignored any one character, but with 10 of them, you're not going to get 
everything you want.

It was left wide open for a sequel and there will be fewer characters in that 
movie for various reasons, so maybe a lot of these criticisms would be 
rectified in the next movie.
