They weren't producing original episodes. This was at MGM- 
Disney.  Open to the public. This one particular studio was  
designed to demonstrate how a sitcom might be put together and  
edited even when actors are not in the same studio. They used  
genuine Golden Girls episodes to work with.

In my case, the demo was "live" in the sense that people saw  
the splicing results immediately.  The lines were funny. It was  
cool to get a real audience laugh-reaction after saying my  
lines. Ad lib wasn't discouraged. The idea was to have fun with  
it. I think a dramatic pause or a roll of my eyes or a personal  
expression brought some laughs too.

Yeah.. it would have been nice to have a copy of that.
