I think we need to VPN together all of our NASes and watch each other's 
content.

At my work in 2005, I managed the corporate office server room. There was a 
white SuperMicro server that was always hammering the drive lights. I didn't 
have it on my elevations, it didn't allow my admin login, and it sat in that 
space in the back of my mind where things that bother you go.

I thought about doing a scream test (unplug it and see who screams) but 
thought it might be part of the data warehouse, and thought better of it.

One day I ran a packet sniffer against it and saw that it was sharing lots 
of files via CIFS. One of the engineers saw me sniffing around and let me 
into the circle.

It was the shared, invite-only MP3 server. We had tens of thousands of MP3s, 
all curated and donated by a handful of people.

I wonder what happened to it when the company closed shop.
