PF> I suppose I really like Strange New Worlds and am judging Discovery PF> against it. Strange New Worlds started after season 2 of Discovery. I thought it was interesting how they did that. I do like Strange New Worlds, and I feel like it's probably the best Star Trek series these days, even though I am tired of all the pre-Kirk sequels and reboots (JJ Abrams movies) they've done with Star Trek. PF> I think partly, I don't like 32nd century tech. I like the old-school feel PF> of SNW. I liked the technology they had in The Next Generation, with the holodeck and replicators. Since The Next Generation came out, I sometimes wonder where they got food and beverages before replicators. But in series set earlier (such as Enterprise), I think they had mentioned matter synthesizers or something similar.
