Mine was 2nd hand as well. When I got my license I was told that I *had*
to buy my mom's car so she could get a different one. I'd rather have purchased
my dad's 65 Mustang though!

Mine had the infamous 350 Rocket engine with a 2bbl carb. I hated it after a
couple of years... had my eye on a 77 firebird just like the one that was in
the Rockford Files tv show. I'd bring it on top of a mountain road, get it up
to fast but safe speed and drop it in low to try to kill something - tranny or
engine but no go!

Those cars were tanks but reliable... I'd compare them to a poor man's caddy
at the time.
