Og> Og> But how old was it when you gave it up? It was replaced with a old 1974 Buick 225, which gave way to a Norton Commando and an International Scout, which the Scout gave way to F-150 pickup. Had Chevy Citation right before I moved. The Norton went into storage as I moved to Europe where I had a Citroen 2CV, a Citroen CX2400, a Morris Traveller, a Ford Sierra Estate, a Passat Estate, a Vanden Plas Princess (the little one), a R-16, an Mini Clubman, my first Panhard PL-17, and Landrover Series II=a over the next decade. On return stateside I found the Norton had been sold out of storage (nasty family scene there) and bought a new Ford Tarus and an older Mustange for the wife. Mustange gave way to a Volvo 740 wagon and I changed my daily every three years +/- going through a Sable Wagon, Aerostar and Windstars, and then the current series of SUVs. Wife had another Volvo Wagon and now drive a Volvo C-30. Always had one or more extra cars. Bristol 408 Mk II, another Morris, lots of Panhards and Citroens, a couple Peugeots, a Merkur XR4Ti with Cosworth upgrades, and a Pinzgauer. Oldest daily drivers were the '56 Dodge Cornet in the mid-70's followed by a '61 Panhard PL-17 in England in the mid-'80s Current daily driver is an SUV delivered 6 weeks ago, as I change them out every 75-90,000 miles. Wife loves her little '13 Volvo C-30. I do have a '04 Chevy 2500HD pickup for utility use. Have some non-daily driver cars, including "family cars" for the students in our family. Norton that was sold was replaced iwth a placeholder Kawasaki 750 2-stroke, other Nortons, a Laverda Jota, a BMW K100LT, an old Moto Guzzi, a turbocharged Harley V-Rod and a Harley Pan America. Only the Harley's and the Moto Guzzi are current. I keep telling myself that I need to shed more of the extras. This Friday I am lending out the Pinzgauer 701m for a charity run, as I can't be there but the organizers asked. --- Steve K9ZW via SPOT BBS --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A46 2020/08/26 (Linux/64) * Origin: SPOT BBS / k9zw (21:1/224) .
