Ponder... am I right in assuming its a 15Khz signal?  There used to be some
scan rate doublers for.. the IIgs... it was a pretty simple setup... used a
555 if I remember right... basically took the incoming sync as a trigger and
then fired a second synch signal at half way... results varied wildly
depending on your monitot... but if you're interested I'll see if I can find
its schematic...
