The first colour monitot I had, was a second hand NEC Multi-synch II. It came
out of a pawn shop that I passed regularly on my way home from work.  Had
that thing for a long time... until we hit 800x600 being the resolution of
choice for some reason it wouldn't synch with that, although it was happy
with 1024x768  But I digress, I got it in the first place to do ANSI screens
with... I was getting a little tired of, why do you have a blue dog, or
bright magenta car or some such.. I have no idea what the chip set on the
video card was now... but it was some 16bit EISA card that would only work in
8bit mode, and you had to tape the extra section off or it'd stop the machine
booting... still 286's at that stage.
