I'm on NTSC - but I use the JiffyDOS ROM chips installed in my motherboard. For me it has worked perfectly every time... I do have a switch installed so I can flip it off if needed, but I never do. 

I don't drive the system daily, but I did print out a cheatsheet of J-DOS commands, and its much easier navigating even if I have to brush up when I pull the C= out for a spin...
